Jann
Jann Arden plays a fictionalized, self-deprecating version of herself in Jann: a singer-songwriter of a "certain age" who is in denial about the unpleasant reality that her prior music career is going away slowly (fine, rapidly). Jann's career isn't the only thing on life support; she's recently single (don't remind her), her sister may disown her, and her mother may be showing early indications of dementia. Jann's personal life is in chaos, and she believes the only way to fix it is to hire a new manager to help her rebrand herself. She begins on a journey to return to greatness and go viral, but instead gets wrapped up in the pressures of her'real' life, which is filled with plenty of LOL moments. Jann is at a fork in the road between who she used to be and who she wants to be. Will Jann be able to make a return, restore her fame...and be there for those who love her?
