Janus
Janus is a 1994-95 ABC drama series. Two 26-episode series were produced. Janus was a spin-off of Phoenix. Janus recounts the bitterly-fought prosecutions of a notorious criminal family, the Hennesseys, from the perspectives of the family, police, and attorneys, prosecutors, barristers, and judges engaged in all elements of the narrative. When the story begins, four Hennessey clan members are acquitted of shooting two cops in a bank heist. Mal and Steve, Darren Mack, and Ken Hardy walk free in Melbourne, shocking the city. Prosecutors, courts, magistrates, and police are determined to put Hennessey members in jail if they can. Corruption, legal loopholes, delays, and limited resources make jailing the gang difficult.
