Featuring Kevin Brophy, John Randolph, and Don Gordon, Lucan was an ABC TV series from 1977 to 1978. Lucan, a 20-year-old man who was reared by wolves for the first ten years of his life, is transported to a research institution where he is educated in human civilization. On his way to civilization, he makes friends with a nice research scientist he had met along the way. Once his medical buddy and mentor is injured, Lucan's independence at the research center is in jeopardy again. With no way to protect Lucan while at the institute, his companion suggests to him that he set out on his own in pursuit of the truth about who he really is. New social skills and traditional Wolfen instincts helped Lucan handle a variety of difficulties and intrigues in the short-lived television show. Whenever Lucan became enraged, he would activate his Wolfen abilities. His eyes gleamed amber when he was in a state of rage. When it came to smell and hearing, he was particularly well-equipped. In a few episodes, he was able to enlist the assistance of his old wolf pack. For this television series, David Greene directed a 1977 made-for-TV movie of the same name.
