A French police woman named Kahina Zadi, who is 32 years old, is dispatched to the city of Kiruna in Sweden to investigate the brutal slaying of a French national. She starts an inquiry with Anders, a Swedish prosecutor who is of Sami descent, and they are both from Sweden. As time went on, further murders took place, and it became clear that the initial victim was just the tip of a very sinister iceberg. It would appear that the victims share nothing in common with one another other than the fact that they are all being murdered in a cold-blooded and calculated manner. In the course of their search for the truth, both Kahina and Anders are forced to confront aspects of their personal histories that they have buried deep inside themselves. A difficult trip into one's own past turns out to be the most important factor in determining whether or not the little mining hamlet of Kiruna would be successful in stopping the violent homicides that plague it.
