Celebrities attempting to perfect the sport of diving are followed on the reality television programme Splash! Each week, the celebrities perform in front of a panel of judges and a live audience in a diving pool of Olympic proportions, with the result being partially chosen by popular vote. The show is hosted by Gabby Logan and Vernon Kay, while Olympic bronze medalist diver Tom Daley is the expert adviser for the celebrities. Filming takes place at the Inspire: Luton Sports Village in Stopsley, Luton. The show won the ratings fight for its 7.15pm-8.15pm slot on ITV on Saturday, January 5, 2013, with an average viewership of 5.6 million viewers, a network share of 23.6 percent. For five years, ITV's highest-rated new entertainment series was Splash. The format of the show was derived from the Dutch television production company Eyeworks' Celebrity Splash! series, which was broadcast on SBS 6 as Sterren Springen Op Zaterdag. A U.S. version, titled Splash, debuted on ABC television on March 19, 2013, from the Riverside Aquatics Complex at Riverside City College and Pasadena's Rose Bowl Aquatic Center. David Boudia, the 2012 Olympic 10 m diving champion, and Greg Louganis, an American diving legend, serve as judges on the American version. The Seven Network in Australia has also commissioned the 2013 premiere of Celebrity Splash!
