The story of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 continues in Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love. In the year 2202, three years after the war with Gamillas, everyone in the Solar System is at peace again, and life has been brought back to Earth. With the end of the war, Earth and Gamillas have signed a peace treaty that will strengthen their military ties and bring about real peace. In addition to rebuilding Earth, the combined forces create a new intergalactic defense fleet with a new ship, Andromeda, as its new symbol of power. Even though Starsha Iscandar wants peace, the Earth is getting stronger militarily because of these advances. But when a new threat called the Gatlantis starts to mess up a galaxy that has just been put back together, the Goddess Teressa calls on the Yamato again to fight back against the new threat.
