The first episode of the series finds the ten protagonists stranded on an uncharted island with only the clothes they are wearing and a million dollars in cash between them. Those participants who are able to stay alive for the entire allotted period of time, which includes arduous travel and strenuous physical activities, will share the prize money. The catch is... They are able to purchase all of the survival supplies and creature comforts that they want, but everything is ridiculously expensive (think $30K for a tent), all decisions to make a purchase require a majority vote from the group, and the cost comes out of the prize money that they have collectively won.
