The first episode of Tak and the Power of Juju, an animated series created entirely with computer-generated imagery, was broadcast on Nickelodeon on August 31, 2007, and on Nicktoons on September 1, 2007. Since the 5th of July in 2008, it has been broadcast on Nicktoons throughout the United Kingdom. The show, which is based on the computer game of the same name, has two stories that each last eleven minutes, and each episode lasts for a half an hour. This is Nickelodeon's first fully computer-animated series, and it is the network's 30th Nicktoons production overall. Nick Jennings served as the show's executive producer, and directors Mark Risley, Jim Schumann, and Heiko Drengenberg were among those who directed episodes. The television program had difficulty attracting viewers, was subjected to a great deal of critical criticism, and was ultimately canceled in November 2008 after airing for only 26 episodes.
