For the French secret services, the Office of Legends (BDL) is responsible for training and remotely piloting the most essential agents: Clandestine. They're in a hostile country, and their job is to find people who can be used as sources of information. For many years, they lived in a state of perpetual deception since they were operating "under caption," which means they had invented their own persona from beginning. Our hero has recently returned from a six-year undercover mission in Damascus. But according to safety guidelines, he refuses to give up his mythology and the identity he developed in Syria, putting the entire system at risk.
