ABC debuted the new television series The Forgotten on September 22, 2009, and it ran for ten episodes. ABC placed an order for an extra five episodes of the series on November 9, 2009, bringing the total number of episodes for the first season up to eighteen. On July 3, 2010, the final two episodes of "The Forgotten" were shown on television.
