The Good Wife
Kyoko Hasumi, played by Takako Tokiwa, is a housewife and mother who had worked as a lawyer but gave up that career to focus on her family. Her husband has a distinguished career as a prosecutor. However, despite his position as head of a special investigation department at the Tokyo District Prosecutor's Office, he is accused of bribery and placed under arrest. A scandal involving another woman is also brought to light. Kyoko Hasumi's existence as a "nice wife" starts to evolve as events unfold. She makes the decision to go back to work as a lawyer in order to safeguard her family. After a hiatus of 16 years, she finally returns to the legal profession after being offered a temporary position at a law firm.
