The Mistress
The Mistress is a sitcom that was broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC2 from the years 1985 to 1987. Carla Lane penned the script for this show, which featured Felicity Kendal and Jane Asher. In The Mistress, Kendal plays the role of Maxine, a young florist who is having an affair with a married man. Jane Asher portrays the role of the man's wife in the film. Some fans didn't enjoy it because they couldn't get over the fact that Felicity Kendal, who was best known for playing the virtuous Barbara Good, was now portraying a woman who slept with another woman's husband.
