The Mole is an Australian reality television series that aired on the Seven Network. It is based on the Mole brand of programs, which has aired in several countries. The Australian version's sub-title included a simple question: Who is the traitor? The show is a reality competition in which the players work together to contribute money to a kitty that only one of them will win. One of the participants has been named "the Mole" by the producers and is tasked with ruining the group's money-making endeavors. His or her identity is unclear until the end of the series, when two true contestants face a final quiz on Mole information in the last episode. At the end of each episode, the competitor who knows the least about who the mole is, as determined by the results of a quiz, is eliminated from the game. The series was presented by actor Grant Bowler for the first four seasons, and then by presenter Tom Williams, who filled in for Bowler in the fifth season due to a prior commitment on Bowler's behalf. The first three seasons were all set in Australia, but the fourth and fifth were set in New Caledonia and New Zealand, respectively. Mason Media Group created the first season. Seasons two through five were produced by Seven and Executive Produced by David Mason. Fremantle Media Australia created the sixth season.
