Willem Brom, Beau van Erven Dorens, and Marc Bennink are responsible for the creation of the Dutch television reality show known as The Phone. The creators of the show will conceal two mobile devices in undisclosed locations during each episode of the show. The phones will begin to ring, and the persons who pick up the calls will immediately become players in the game as soon as they do so. By working together to complete the tasks they have been given, these two individuals now have a chance to win 25,000 euros. The fact that the show is recorded more like a movie than a reality show is what makes it stand out as being distinctive. It was conceived in response to films such as Die Hard with a Vengeance. On July6,2007, the Dutch public broadcaster AVRO aired the pilot episode of their television show titled "The Phone." The show has already been sold to broadcast in 52 countries around the world. It was awarded the Rose d'Or for Best Reality at the ceremony that took place in 2008.
