The Untouchables

The Untouchables ran on ABC from 1959-1963. Based on the same-name memoir by Eliot Ness and Oscar Fraley, it fictionalizes Ness' experiences as a Prohibition agent battling crime in Chicago in the 1930s with a special team of agents recruited for their fearlessness and incorruptibility, nicknamed the Untouchables. The novel was adapted into a 1987 film by Brian De Palma and a 1993 TV series. The Untouchables is a hard-hitting criminal drama that won Robert Stack an Emmy in 1960.
