The Virginian

James Drury and Doug McClure starred in The Virginian, which ran on NBC from 1962 through 1971 for 249 episodes. It's a spin-off of the 1958 summer series Decision. The Virginian was TV's first 90-minute western in color. The show ran for nine seasons, making it TV's third longest-running western. Bonanza had 14 seasons and 430 episodes, and Gunsmoke had 20 seasons and 635 episodes.
