Three's Company is a television show that aired on ABC from March15,1977, to September18, 1984. Man About the House, a British sitcom, inspired it. Janet Wood, Chrissy Snow, and Jack Tripper are three single housemates who platonically occupy Apartment 201 in a Santa Monica, California apartment building owned by Mr. and Mrs. Roper. Following Suzanne Somers' departure, Jenilee Harrison was cast as Cindy Snow, who was then replaced as Terri Alden by Priscilla Barnes. Don Knotts joined the cast as the housemates' new landlord Ralph Furley, brother of the new building owner, Bart Furley, after the Ropers were sent off into their own series. The show, which is a comedy of errors, follows the trio's continual misunderstandings, social lives, and struggle to keep up with the rent.
