Transporter: The Series is an English-language French-Canadian action-adventure television series based on the Transporter film series produced by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. It is co-produced by Atlantique Productions in France and QVF Inc. in Canada, with broadcast partners M6, RTL, The Movie Network, Movie Central, and HBO/Cinemax. The series continues the adventures of Frank Martin, a professional freelance courier driver for hire who will transport anything, anyplace-no questions asked–for the proper amount and lives by three "unbreakable" principles, which he regularly violates. Chris Vance replaces Jason Statham in the role of Frank, and is joined by Andrea Osvárt, who stars as a former CIA agent and love interest for Frank, who organizes his missions, and François Berléand, the lone returning actor from the film series, who reprises his role as Inspector Tarconi. Twelve episodes have been ordered for2012, with a total budget of $40,000,000 (€30.000.000). That year, the show debuted on RTL in Germany on October 11 and M6 in France on December 6. The Canadian debut aired on HBO Canada and Super Écran 1 on January 4, 2013. The broadcast began on Sony PIX channel in India on January25, 2013.
