John Morton is the creator of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) television comedy series Twenty Twelve. Morton also directed the series. The program is a parody of an on-location documentary that follows the preparations for the Summer Olympics in London in 2012 and stars Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, and Amelia Bullmore. In March2011, to correspond with the 500-day countdown to the opening ceremony, it was initially shown on BBC Four, a television station in the United Kingdom. After receiving mostly positive reviews from reviewers, the first four episodes of the second season of Twenty Twelve were announced to be aired on BBC Two on April15,2011, and March30,2012, respectively. Beginning on July 10, 2012, broadcasts of the next three episodes of the second season began. On July24,2012, the final episode of this series was shown on television, three days before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London.
