Zen is a British TV miniseries made by Left Bank Pictures for the BBC. It was also made with WGBH Boston for its Masterpiece anthology series, Mediaset, and ZDF. It stars Rufus Sewell and Caterina Murino and is based on the detective novels about Aurelio Zen by Michael Dibdin. The show was filmed on location in Italy, but the dialogue is in English. The series, which consists of three 90-minute movies, started airing in the UK on BBC One on Sunday evenings on January 2, 2011. The three movies were based on the books Vendetta, Cabal, and Ratking.
