Tim is a solitary individual. He befriends a bashful youngster at school. However, Tim's new friend is unsettled by a gang of kids' verbal and physical bullying, as well as an aggressive use of social media, and he backs away from him— an act of cowardice that will have major consequences. Because Tim refuses to snitch, the bullies, including the gang's leader Jeff, appear to get away with their crimes. He's one among the school's top athletes, with an 800m time of 1.54 seconds, he appears to be a lock for a spot in the national championships. Tim's adversaries seem eager to go to any length to stop him when he decides to start training in order to go up against Jeff, even if it means using his girlfriend as cover.
