2036: Nexus Dawn
It is the year 2036, and the story revolves around Jared Leto's character, Niander Wallace, in this short film set in the real world. Wallace unveils a new line of "perfected" replicants known as the Nexus 9 in this short film, with the goal of having the prohibition on replicants lifted entirely. This will undoubtedly have significant repercussions for the plot of Blade Runner 2049, which will be revealed later in the film.
