A Christmas Wish

Marta Evans, her two daughters, and her stepson have been left homeless and nearly impoverished by their ne'er-do-well husband. A rural diner, once known for its homemade root beer, eventually hires Martha as a waitress when she leaves town in search of a job and somewhere to stay. With her car broken down and mounting debt, the Evans family appears set for a gloomy holiday.
