Edmond Vidal, also known as Momon, grew up in a poor gypsy camp. He has kept his sense of family, his unwavering loyalty, and his pride in his roots. Most of all, he has kept in touch with Serge Suttel, who was in prison with him when he first went to jail for stealing cherries. They had no choice but to become involved in organized crime. They were the most famous armed robbers in the early 1970s because they worked together as the Ganf Des Lyonnais. Their unstoppable rise ended in 1974 when they were arrested in a very public way. Now that Momon is getting close to 60, he would like to forget about that time in his life. He is at peace now that he has left the "business." He takes care of his wife Janou, who has been through a lot, as well as his children and grandchildren. All of them have a lot of respect for this simple man with universal values who is so kind and clear-headed. But then Serge Suttel comes back, and he hasn't changed a thing about his past.
