A Scene at the Sea

A damaged surfboard is discovered by deaf garbage collector Shigeru (Kurôdo Maki) on one of his runs, and this sparks his interest, despite the fact that he has no previous surfing experience. As a result, he restores the board and, accompanied by his devoted lover Takako (Hiroko Oshima), who is also deaf, goes out to learn how to surf. When he has misfortune, the locals make fun of him. Shigeru, on the other hand, may have a chance to become one with the sea and the surfing culture with the assistance of a shop owner who was once a surfing legend.
