A Silent Voice

Because Shouko Nishimiya is deaf, Shouya Ishida begins to bully her. Even though Shouya is being teased, the rest of the class begins to turn on him for his lack of empathy. They do not talk to each other again after elementary school, until an older, wiser Shouya, haunted by his past, decides he must see Shouko once more because of the pain it has caused him.
