A Special Day

A meeting between Mussolini and Hitler takes place in the late 1930s, and the film is set during that time period. Leaving her fascist husband behind to attend the historic event, Antonietta establishes a bond with her homosexual next-door neighbor Gabriele when she is left alone in her tenement house. As the day gives way to night, Antonietta and Gabriele begin to form a very particular bond that will profoundly influence both of their outlooks on life in the coming years.
