A Viking Saga: The Darkest Day

Hereward, a novice monk, is thrust into a violent and bloody world of murder, and must bring the Holy Gospel of Lindisfarne, a book of immense beauty and power, to the safety of the Iona monastery, all while being followed by a Viking death squad hell-bent on capturing it. On his route to the monastery, he meets a fearsome and talented swordsman who responds to his prayers and vows to guard Hereward while he delivers the book. They are attacked by Vikings who are willing to kill to acquire what they want, putting Hereward and his bodyguard at their mercy.
