A Woman in Berlin

As the Russians overrun Berlin in the spring of 1945, an anonymous woman starts a diary. She is a patriotic journalist with worldwide credentials in her early thirties; her husband, Gerd, is a writer serving on the Russian front. She speaks Russian and survives the invasion for a day or two, but then the rapes begin. She resolves to take charge of her destiny.
