Seth McArdle (Samuel Davis) is a senior in high school who has a lot on his plate. Not only does he have to deal with the typical social and academic pitfalls of high school, but he also has to deal with his young twin sisters, who are acting as de facto parents in the absence of his deceased mother and unemployed father. When the bank calls with a foreclosure notice, Seth's frustrations boil over, resulting in a series of fights with the school football team. Seth is exiled after school by an irritated coach to work with Abel, the eccentric groundskeeper (Kevin Sorbo). Their relationship begins cold and rocky, but as they spend more time together, they realize they have more in common than either thought. The disadvantage is that they mostly share pain and sadness. The good news is that God adores them.
