This means that Charlie, the dog that owns and operates a casino, ends up in Heaven because all dogs go to Heaven. In order to get vengeance at his murderer, he conned his way back to the living was warned that doing so would send him to Hell. To prepare for his revenge, he reunites with his former buddy, Itchy. A girl who can communicate with animals, an orphan, helps him gain inside information on the races so he can win enough money to finance his goals. However, he is tortured by nightmares about what awaits him on the other side until he can prove that he is worthy of Heaven once more.
