Maura Mackenzie feels she can conquer the world. She has the looks and talent to disguise the demons that threaten to consume her career as a concert pianist. Then, one summer day, possessed by maniacal energy, she makes a dreadful decision that will ruin her life forever: she leaves her husband and two young girls behind.
