Antonia's Line
Several years after the end of World War II, Antonia and her daughter Danielle return to their Dutch homeland, where Antonia's late mother has endowed Antonia with a modest farm. Antonia settles down in the town and becomes a part of a close-knit but strange community. Antonia's circle of friends includes her eccentric acquaintance Crooked Finger, would-be suitor Bas, and, eventually, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter who contribute to the development of a strong family of empowered women.
