"Adam Goldstein was a well-known figure in the 1990s Los Angeles party scene, when he plunged himself into a new life as DJ AM. DJ AM swiftly went to the top of the music industry after overcoming numerous challenges, including a problematic parental situation and multiple addictions. As a pioneer of the mashup genre, he established himself as one of the world's most recognizable DJs. He remained, though, plagued by the horrors of his past. After eluding death in a plane crash, an overdose resulted in his untimely demise.
