Director Mario Van Peebles describes the difficult production of his father Melvin's iconic 1971 movie "Sweet Sweetback's Baadassss Song," which was directed by Mario's father Melvin. While portraying his father in the film, Van Peebles provides a candid account of Melvin's brash and sometimes deceptive behavior on the set, including questionable antics such as writing bad checks, defrauding a local fire department, and allowing his son, Mario, to shoot racy sex scenes at the age of 11 while on the set of the film.
