Stanley is smitten with Margaret, his coworker and statuesque waitress. He encounters George Spiggott, a.k.a. the devil, and sells his soul for seven wishes, which he uses to attempt to adopt Margaret as an intellectual, then as a rock star, and finally as a wealthy businessman.
