Berserk: The Golden Age Arc 1 - The Egg of the King
Guts is a very strong sword-for-hire, but he doesn't have much of a plan for his life. He just fights one battle after the next. All of this changes quickly, though, when he meets Griffith, a handsome and charismatic young man who leads the Band of the Hawk mercenary army, and loses to him. After Guts joins the Band and their relationship starts to grow, Casca, the tough, lone swordswoman in the Band of the Hawk, finds it hard to accept Guts and the way he changes the world around her. While the two men start to fight together, Griffith continues to rise in power, which seems to be in order to reach his mysterious, foretold goals. What lengths will Guts and Griffith go to in order to reach their goals, and where will fate lead them?
