Beyond the Blackboard

A 24-year-old first-time teacher changes the lives of homeless youngsters in a makeshift school in a shelter. As a new teacher and mother in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1987, you end up teaching homeless children in a school that is actually called The School with No Name, and it is a school housed in a room. The lack of books and resources is also an obstacle she must overcome before she can truly teach these children.
