A magical race of beings lives beyond the world of humans. They control the tides and the changing of the seasons. One of these beings, a young girl named Chun, wants something more—she wants to live in the human world! At age16, she finally gets the chance to change into a dolphin and see the world that has always interested her. But she finds out quickly that it's a dangerous place when she almost dies in a vortex. A young boy gives his life to save her, which saves her life. She is moved by his kindness and bravery, so she uses magic to bring him back to life, only to find out that this power comes at a very high cost. On a new journey, she'll have to make sacrifices of her own to protect his soul until it's ready to go back to the human world.
