A successful mod photographer in London, whose world is limited to fashion, pop music, marijuana, and easy sex, finds his existence monotonous and depressing. But in the course of a single day, he inadvertently films a murder being committed. The realization that he has photographed a murder does not occur to him until he analyses and enlarges his negatives, revealing details, enlarging smaller and smaller elements, and finally piecing together the jigsaw.
