When Evan Perry was 15, he fell to his death from the window of his bedroom in New York City on Oct. 2, 2005. His parents, Hart and Dana Perry, were shocked. In this heartfelt film, Evan's parents and other people who knew him tell the story of Evan's life and death, as well as his life-long battle with bipolar disorder. It shows how Evan's disease is complicated, and it shows how Evan's family has had to go through the maze of mental illness. In this movie, we see how one family copes with generations of loss and grief. It breaks down the stigma around mental illness and suicide, and it tells a story that everyone can relate to.
