Bright Young Things
They are called the "Bright Young Things" by the press, and they are Adam and his friends, who are very different from the people of the 1930s. Adam, who has a lot of connections but is broke, is desperate to get enough money to marry Nina, who is beautiful. While he's trying to raise money, their friends seem to self-destruct, one by one, in a never-ending search for newer and faster thrills. All these things happen at once, forcing them to look back on their lives and decide what they value most.
