Candles on Bay Street

Following a 13 year absence, DeeDee returns home with her 11 year old son Trooper. Veterinary services are provided by her childhood best buddy, Sam, and his wife Lydia. Lydia is cautious of DeeDee when Sam tells her they were childhood best friends and DeeDee was his first crush. But DeeDee and Trooper win many hearts with their lovely friendships and helpfulness. DeeDee opens a candle making business in town square and invites many of the town's ladies to monthly candle making events, where she meets Lydia. After dinner with Lydia and Sam, DeeDee tells Sam she's unwell and needs his help finding a nice family to adopt Trooper. Sam eventually tells Lydia what happened and they resolve to adopt Trooper if/when DeeDee dies.
