In this Christmas film, Claire (Alexandra Breckenridge), a sophisticated venture capitalist from New York City, flees to a small Vermont village and becomes a guest of the Fortenbury Bookstore. Following a flood, the town has decided to forego Christmas celebrations, and the bookstore is in a terrible state of disrepair when Claire arrives. As soon as she arrives, she sets out to rejuvenate the store, but she runs into trouble with the proprietor, Andrew (Jamie Spilchuk), who initially rejects all of her suggestions. The two eventually fall in love and begin a blossoming romance, and Claire's contagious optimism motivates Andrew to join her in renewing the Christmas spirit. However, when Claire discovers that Andrew intends to sell the bookstore in the New Year, everything comes to a grinding halt. Will the spirit of Christmas be strong enough to persuade Andrew to reconsider his decision and inspire him to follow his heart?
