Cold Water
1972, in a Parisian enclave outside of the city. In this story, Gilles and Christine, both sixteen, are friends and lovers who have grown dissatisfied with their parents' disinterest in their lives and the general monotony of their existence. When Christine and Gilles are apprehended shoplifting, Christine's father sends her away to a residential treatment center for emotionally unstable children, separating her from Gilles for the time being. The pair, on the other hand, is fortunate in that she manages to escape, and they consider fleeing away together.
