Conviction
When Betty Anne Waters' older brother Kenny is arrested for murder and given a life sentence in 1983, Betty Anne, a Massachusetts wife and mother of two, decides to spend the rest of her life trying to overturn the murder conviction. Betty Anne is sure that her brother Kenny is innocent, so she spends 18 years going to high school, college, and finally law school to prove her brother's innocence. With the help of her best friend Abra Rice, Betty Anne sifts through the suspicious evidence that small town cop Nancy Taylor put together and carefully retraces the steps that led to Kenny's arrest. Betty Anne's belief in her brother and her desire to find the truth drive her and her team to find the facts and use DNA evidence in the hope of clearing Kenny.
