Davy Crockett, the nephew of his more famous namesake, is a scout for a wagon train travelling west across Indian territory in 1848. The Indians are being kept informed by a mole among them. In the face of the first Indian onslaught, the soldiers continue on. There are two mountain passes to choose from. It is clear that the Indians will be protecting one of the two passes.
