Dead End

"Baby Face" the mobster Martin returns home to visit the New York neighborhood where he grew up, paying visits to his mother, who rejects him due to his gangster lifestyle, and his old girlfriend, Francey, who is now a syphilitic prostitute. Martin also runs into Dave, a childhood friend who is trying to make it as an architect, and the Dead End Kids, a gang of young boys who roam the streets of the city's East Side slums.
