Deadly Intent

The loss of Bryony's husband, a soldier stationed in Afghanistan, leaves her and her young son, James, scrambling to start a new life after the tragedy. Because she is dealing with her own loss, she is oblivious to the fact that James has become secretive and distant, spending hours alone with his toys, acting out death scenes. In the beginning, Bryony blames James for the disappearance of items and the destruction of furniture, but when she confronts him, Bryony is confronted with a truth that is more horrifying than any nightmare. As her world comes crashing down around her, Bryony realizes that she and her son, James, will be separated for the rest of their lives unless she can find a way to reconnect with him.
