A group of researchers are looking for a treatment for Alzheimer's disease at the Aquatica research center, which is located in a remote part of the world and was formerly used to refuel submarines. Dr. Susan McAlester performs genetic engineering on three Mako sharks with the goal of increasing the amount of brain tissue that each shark possesses in order to later use this tissue to develop a treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Aquatica's financial backers are worried and doubtful about the experiments, so they send an official from the company to check out the facility.
